ENERGY MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR 63190

(Competitive)

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS

The work involves responsibility for managing an energy management program by overseeing the maintenance, repair and renovation of the physical plant, establishing methods to utilize efficiently energy, and planning short and long range conservation plans to reduce utility costs.

Although the supervision of a maintenance and repair program is an important function of this position, this class is distinct from similar classes by virtue of its dual emphasis on heating, ventilating and air conditioning maintenance and repair and energy management and conservation. An employee in this class receives general supervision from an administrator in charge of buildings and grounds maintenance, and the incumbent exercises general supervision of a small number of second line supervisors who are in charge of the custodial and building maintenance functions respectively. Does related work as required.
